Prosciuttificio San Giacomo is a small, family-run company specialized in the production of high quality Prosciutto di Parma.

The production plant was built in 1975 and is located in the village of San Vitale Baganza, on the banks of the Baganza creek. San Giacomo is a perfect mix of tradition and innovation. Every year we produce 70,000 Prosciutto di Parma DOP (Protected Designation of Origin).

San Giacomo’s Prosciutto di Parma is a top-quality product and is considered one of the best Prosciutto on the market. Our excellent reputation has been achieved thanks to our accurate selection of meats and the compliance with natural and traditional production methods.

Our staff carefully monitor every processing stage in order to guarantee our clients a product with unique features:

  • Light and uniform ruby colour
  • Long aging but great softness
  • Fragrant and sweet flavour

San Giacomo’s Prosciutto di Parma has exclusive and unique features and is intended for demanding consumers and for distribution channels looking for high quality products.

For several years our Prosciutto di Parma has already crossed Italian borders, and nowadays is sold on the biggest European markets: Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Ireland and Luxembourg.

We are also authorised to export to several non-EEC countries, among them Japan, Canada and Hong Kong.

Besides the protocol for self-control based upon the application of the H.A.C.C.P system Prosciuttificio S. Giacomo has also chosen to obtain the certifications BRC Global Standard for Food safety and IFS Food
